The Health Information Management Association Australia is delighted to announce that the 2025 HIMAA Conference will take place from Wednesday 29 October – Friday 31 October at the QT Hotel in Canberra!
The theme for this year’s conference is “Health Information Management: Leading Innovation, Empowering Communities, Shaping the Future.” The theme emphasises the critical role of Health Information Management in driving innovation, empowering communities, and shaping the future of healthcare. This theme highlights the transformative potential of Health Information Management in advancing healthcare systems, improving patient outcomes, and fostering greater community health. By leading the way in technological advancements and data management practices, Health Information Management professionals are at the forefront of creating solutions that enhance care delivery, ensure health equity, and pave the way for a healthier, more connected future.
The conference theme of ‘Health Information Management: Leading Innovation, Empowering Communities, Shaping the Future’ is an invitation to everyone working in, supporting, or dependent on health information management, from all cross-sections of the health and corporate communities, to showcase their innovative, inspiring practices, through which they contribute to better healthcare outcomes.
HIMAA welcomes professional practice of Clinical Coders, Clinical Documentation Specialists, Health Information Managers, and others who contribute to health information management research, practices, and insights within and for the healthcare system to register to attend this year’s conference and take part in three days of broad and innovative discussion, workshops and networking.
Plenaries: Sessions include “Health Data Privacy Trends and Challenges” (with the Australian Information Commissioner) and “Mindfulness & Wellbeing Meditation.”
Concurrent Streams: The program is split into a “Health Information Management Stream,” a “Clinical Coding Stream,” and a “Clinical Update Session.”
Workshops: A “Cybersecurity and Data Protection Masterclass.”
