We provide ongoing therapy or assessments for a range of presentations. Headstart is a private clinic and a registered NDIS provider.
At Headstart, we specialise in but are not limited to the field of autism-spectrum disorder. Many of our clinicians are experts in this area and several of our clinicians are registered with Autism SA to be able to perform diagnostic assessments. Our clinicians endeavour to treat all clients fairly using an evidence-based approach and welcome people from all backgrounds and communities.
Headstart has two clinics located in Wayville and Gawler, Adelaide, South Australia.
Headstart provides personalised allied health services across speech pathology, psychology and occupational therapy for children, adolescents and adults. Our team supports communication, language, speech, literacy, social communication, fluency, AAC, emotional and behavioural wellbeing, autism-related needs, social skills, sensory processing, motor development, daily living skills, and participation at school, work and home, with sessions available in clinic or via telehealth.
We also offer comprehensive assessments, including autism assessments, psycho-educational assessments, speech and language assessments, occupational therapy assessments, and functional capacity assessments. These services help identify strengths, challenges and support needs, with practical recommendations tailored to each person’s goals, development and everyday life.
We support children, adolescents and adults who may be experiencing challenges with communication, learning, emotional well-being, behaviour, sensory processing, daily living skills, social interaction, and participation at school, work or home. We also help individuals and families seeking assessment, diagnosis and practical therapy support for autism and related needs, with care tailored to each person’s goals, strengths and stage of life.
