My work is a fusion of my greatest passions: art, science, and a deep desire to help people. As an artist, designer and a PhD researcher, my career has been dedicated to exploring how sensory experiences can profoundly impact our wellbeing. This journey began with my own personal experience living with Tourette Syndrome, which led to my PhD research being the first to prove the benefits of sensory rooms for the general population and pioneering best-practice design.
In 2012, I founded Creative Sensory Spaces to bring this vision to life and to disrupt the industry, with a goal towards making the benefits of sensory rooms mainstream and accessible to all. Our signature sensory spaces are purpose-designed for emotional regulation and calm, working in educational settings, workplaces, disability, allied health, events and major stadiums. My mission is simple: to make self-care and emotional balance equitable and effortless through evidence-based sensory design.
